Prime Minister talks with the backdrop of heavy rain in Kerala

 


The Prime Minister, who tweeted Rani, said that it is sad that many people have lost their lives due to heavy rains and landslides in Kerala. He said condolences to the families of the deceased

Thiruvananthapuram : The death toll from rain-related incidents in Kerala has risen to 25. The search operation continues in the wake of the landslides that occurred in Kakkayar in Idukki district yesterday.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has appealed to the people to be cautious even though the current rainfall in the state is low. He said the disaster management function in the state would be in operation 24 hours. The public is urged to avoid unnecessary travel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and discussed the situation in the wake of heavy rains and landslides in the state.

The Prime Minister said officials are working to help injured and affected people. Prayed for the safety and well-being of all.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that his ministry is constantly monitoring the situation in Kerala. Shah tweeted that the central government will provide all kinds of support to help the needy people.

Shah said the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have already been sent to assist.
