Government's permission to export Sputnik Light

 The Sputnik Lite Russian vaccine is similar to the Sputnik V vaccine unit-1. India's drug regulator has approved the emergency use of Sputnik V in April. It has since been used in India's anti-Kovid-19 vaccine program.

NEW DELHI : The Government has approved the export of Sputnik Light, a Russian single-dose Kovid-19 vaccine, manufactured in India. The vaccine has not yet been approved for emergency use in India. Sources close to the subject reported that Indian pharmaceutical company Hetero Biopharma Limited has been granted permission to export 4 million doses of Sputnik Light to Russia.

Russian Ambassador Nikolai Kudshev has urged the Indian government to allow Hutero Biopharma's manufactured Sputnik Light to be exported to Russia until the vaccine is approved for emergency use by a drug regulator in India.
