Chandigarh, Aug 23 ( IANS) A group ofKashmiri students are studying in an engineering college in Sangrur, Punjab, on Tuesday, claiming that India lost to Pakistan in a T-20 cricket match.
The students complained that the attack came after India lost the T-20 tournament between India and Pakistan yesterday. The incident took place at the current Punjab Bhai Gurdas Institute of India College of Engineering and Technology.
In the meantime, police have not registered a case regarding the incident. Later developments have been negotiated by the police and the college's governing body, with both parties apologizing at the meeting.
A video showing students breaking chairs, damaged beds and suffering students in their hostel rooms has been circulating on social networks.
Not only that, in another video, an outraged crowd is taking a wicket in their hands and running the scenery. This is the first time Pakistan has defeated India in the World Cup.
