Bangalore A23 : CM Basavaraja Bommai has instructed the Department of Tourism to issue a notification to declare Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary on the banks of the Tunga near the Tirthahalli National Highway 169 at Shimoga.
In this regard, Home Minister Arag Ganendra, who is also a Tirthahalli legislator, had written to Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai in a letter to the Chief Minister of Tourism, demanding the declaration of Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary as an official bird sanctuary.
