The state government yesterday ordered the transfer of Ashwini from Mandya and the appointment of IPS Officer Suman D. Pennaker at the Mysore Police Academy following the allegations leveled against Ashwini, the SP of Mandya. It is now alleged that the Home Minister has verbally ordered Pennaker not to take office.
Mandya: The government has ordered the appointment of Suman D Pennaker, who was in the KPA in Mysore, as the SP of Mandya district and has been appointed as SP of Mandya. But it is alleged that political influences are pressuring the government to withdraw the order to appoint Pennaker as Mandya SP.

Suman D. Pennaker has taken the title of Best Officer and Khadak Officer in the past. It is said that if they come to Mandya, Mandya will bring strict orders to the Mandya Police Department. "There are women officials in all the important posts including DC, ADC and District Panchayat CO in Mandya," Pennaker said.
