Petrol and diesel prices have risen again

NEW DELHI : The  price of oil products has gone up again in the country, adding to the burden of consumers. On Saturday, petrol and diesel prices rose by 35 paise per liter. The masses of the country, which have already been hit by rising prices, have been hit by rising fuel prices.

Domestic petrol prices in Mumbai rose to Rs 111.43 per liter, while diesel prices in Mumbai increased to Rs 102.15 per liter. In Kolkata, the price of petrol has been hiked by Rs 106.10 per liter and diesel by Rs 97.33 per liter. The price of petrol in Chennai has been hiked to Rs 102.80 per liter and diesel to Rs 98.69 per liter.

Petrol and diesel rates are revised every day according to the pricing formula adopted by the oil companies. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited revise fuel prices daily in accordance with international prices and foreign exchange rates. Fuel rates are currently the highest among the 4 metro cities in the country.

Petrol and diesel prices change at 6am every morning. New fees apply from 6pm. After adding the excise tax, dealer commission and so on, the price of petrol and diesel will almost double. Petrol and diesel prices fluctuate daily depending on what the crude price is in the international market with foreign exchange rates.
