New Delhi, Oct 14 : Veer Savarkar and a genuine nationalist in the 20th century as the country's first military karyatantrajna Rajnath Singh said.

Addressing the book launch, Rajnath Singh wrote to Savarkar's pardon to the British at Mahatma Gandhi's request. Marxists and Leninists have said that Savarkar is wrong.
