BANGALORE 19: The government is considering converting the BPL card to APL. Against this backdrop, the distribution of BPL cards in the state is currently unmatched. Applicants do not even get cards. As such, more than 1.3 million people across the country are applying for a card and wandering to offices. Not at all. More than 5 lakh people are waiting to apply for a BPL card and farmers are facing a hard time of getting a BPL card.

Farmers who are sowing crops have been forced to write another letter to the farmers who are suffering from a sustained drought. Farmers who have more than three 7 acres of land in urban and rural areas have lost their sense of entitlement to transfer their BPL ration cards to APL.
