Subramanian Swamy out of BJP national executive board

 

 Subramanian Swamy, who was critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government's economic policies, was removed from the 80-member board of the national executive two days ago. Varun Gandhi and his mother, Maneka Gandhi, who have raised questions about the Agriculture Act and the violence of Lakhempur, have also been removed from the membership.

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy has removed the word "BJP" on his Twitter profile after he was removed from the membership of BJP's National Executive Council. The BJP has also removed the term 'National Executive Member'.

Members of the party, LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. In addition to the 80 regular members, the Executive has 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees. Of the 80 members, 37 are Union ministers and several other ministers are part of the committee.
