BANGALORE: Senior comedian Shankar Rao, 84, passed away today. He was sick for several days and passed away at around 6.50 am today. He was best known for his role as a serial killer. Shankar Rao, who has been identified with the actor's side, has also played a bass role in the 'Papa Pandu' serial and is also best known for his role as Uncle in the house of Ramesh Aravind's 'hot hot cinema'. He has also starred in 'Parva' and 'Silly Lilly'. Born and raised in Tumkur, Shankar Rao was a cinema lover at an early age and had a passion for acting and acting in plays. Having lost his father at a young age, Shankar Rao continued to take charge of the house and pursue an acting career. Shankar Rao, who came to Bangalore in 1955, was performing in the 'Friends' band.
